Privacy Policy

The Creative Lounge

Effective date: June 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Creative Lounge — the personal portfolio of Samar Shool ("I," "me," "my") — collects, uses, and protects information when you visit www.creativelounge.io (the "Site") or contact me. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who I am

The Creative Lounge is the personal portfolio and creative practice of Samar Shool, covering 3D animation, visual effects, motion design, and interactive/XR work. For any privacy question, reach me through my contact form.

2. Information I collect

Information you provide. When you use my contact form, or otherwise reach out, I may collect your name, email address, company or brand name, and any details you include in your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my Site (hosted on Squarespace) automatically collects certain technical data when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

I do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, payment card details through the Site, or information from children (see Section 9).

3. How I use your information

I use the information I collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and discuss potential projects;

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site;

  • understand how visitors use the Site (analytics);

  • send you information you have requested or, where permitted, occasional updates about my work (you can opt out at any time); and

  • comply with legal obligations and protect my rights.

I process this information based on your consent, my legitimate interest in operating and promoting my work, and/or to take steps at your request before entering into an engagement.

4. How I share information

do not sell your personal information. I may share it only with:

  • Service providers who help me run the Site and my work (for example, Squarespace for hosting and forms, analytics providers, and email/communication tools), who are permitted to use it only to provide services to me;

  • Legal and safety recipients, where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (including pixels and web beacons) to function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. These generally fall into a few categories:

  • Essential cookies — necessary for the Site to load and work correctly;

  • Functionality cookies — remember choices you make, such as language or region;

  • Analytics cookies — help me see how visitors use the Site so I can improve it.

My hosting provider (Squarespace) and any analytics tools I use may set these cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings — and, where offered, through the cookie banner on the Site — though some features may not work properly if you disable them. For more detail, see Squarespace's own privacy and cookie policies.

6. Email outreach

I may contact brands and businesses by email to introduce my services. Every such message includes a way to opt out. If you no longer wish to hear from me, reply with "unsubscribe" or use my contact form, and I will remove you from future outreach.

7. Data retention

I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain my business records, or as required by law, after which I delete or anonymize it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights, and I do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, reach me through my contact form; I will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided me information, contact me and I will delete it.

10. International visitors

I operate from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

11. Security

I take reasonable measures to protect the information I hold. However, no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Third-party links

The Site links to third-party sites and platforms (such as Vimeo and IMDB). I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their policies separately.

13. Changes to this Policy

I may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.

14. Contact
